Natural remedies to get rid of facial dark spots

The appearance of dark spots on the face may be due to several reasons, such as excessive sun exposure, hyperpigmentation, acne, etc. Today we want to talk to you about several simple homemade remedies to mitigate those spots that appear due to aging and sun exposure.

Facial dark spots are usually small, flat and covered by a pigmentation that resembles the shade of coffee with milk. If you see one, you should be careful, because they can get bigger and darker the longer you stay under the sun, so remember to protect yourself with creams, hats and umbrellas. A good tan looks great, but always do it in moderation.

Aloe vera

Open a piece of aloe vera in the middle and then, using a knife, scrape the inside to remove the gel. Rub this gel daily on the spots with a small circular massage.

Aloe vera has been used since ancient times for its skin properties to heal wounds, ulcers and burns, and to lighten skin spots. Do it in the morning or at night before going to bed and you will see how they begin to dissipate.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil

Coconut oil helps replace dead skin cells and protects it from the harmful UV rays of the sun.

First, wash your face to remove excessive dirt. Apply coconut oil to your face and massage it well so that it penetrates deep into the layers of the skin. Once you have finished with the massage, leave the oil on the skin for about 20-25 minutes so that the extra oil is absorbed. You can do this three times a week.

Yogurt

Yogurt contains lactic acid that can slow the growth of melanocytes. It has properties to cure hyperpigmentation and improve the texture of the skin.

Take a spoonful of plain yogurt and apply it to the affected areas. Wait 20 minutes and then rinse with warm water. You can do this three times a week.

Turmeric

Since ancient times, turmeric has been used as a facial remedy in Indian homes due to its medicinal properties. It is also useful to balance the skin’s pH level and add a radiant glow.

Mix a few drops of lemon juice with 1 tablespoon of turmeric to make a paste. Apply the paste on the affected area to cleanse your skin. After 15 minutes, wash it with warm water. You can do this once a day before going to bed.

Papaya

Peel a piece of papaya and gently rub its internal part over the area of your face affected by the dark spots. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then wash your face with cold water. You can do this three times a week. Papaya is very beneficial for face skin, and you can also use it for spots on the neckline and hands.

Note: It’s important that you adopt a conservative approach with these natural remedies. Apply a small amount on your face at the beginning and leave it for a short period of time. If you feel any discomfort, itching or burning sensation, rinse the mixture immediately with warm water. While using these natural remedies to decrease dark spots, you must make an effort to limit your exposure to the sun. Remember that a good sunscreen is essential even in winter.
