Matcha and moringa are two of the favorite superfoods in the world. Their excellent reputation is due to how good they are for health and the incredible benefits they give to general well-being.

They are two food products very similar to each other: both are consumed mainly in the form of tea (although, if you get creative you can include them in your diet in many other ways), they are green and full of properties and nutrients that provide great health and beauty benefits.

We can’t decide which of the two is our favorite, so we put them here face to face to compare the benefits that each one offers.

Moringa benefits

Moringa tree is native to the foothills of the Himalayas in India, where it has been used since ancient times for medicinal purposes. Their nutritional facts include a high profile in protein, calcium, fatty acids, vitamins, flavonoids and polyphenols.

Some of its main benefits are:

-Contains the highest amount of protein than any other plant-food, so its consumption is extraordinarily good for vegetarian and vegan diets.

-Favors digestion.

-Helps reduce cholesterol.

-Has strong anti-inflammatory properties.

-Aids the functioning of lungs.

-Favors milk production after pregnancy

-Fights infections such as thrush, toothache, parasites, typhoid and herpes.

-Takes care of the skin.

According to some superfoods’ specialists, moringa beats matcha in nutritional properties. In taste, the point probably goes to matcha, because it has a refreshing bitterness that has even made it an excellent ingredient to prepare healthy desserts.

The real deal is that both are great for health and it is highly recommended to include them in the regular diet of children, teens and adults.
