Benefits of golden milk and how to prepare it at home

How to prepare Golden milk?

Golden Milk - Turmeric Latte

Golden milk can be easily prepared at home. The first step is to make the turmeric paste that will later serve to prepare the drink whenever you want it.

Ingredients for turmeric paste:

  • ¼ cup turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp. ground black pepper
  • 5 gr. grated ginger
  • ½ cup filtered water

-Mix all the ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat until a thick paste is made. Let it cool and store it in a jar in the refrigerator.

Ingredients for the golden milk:

  • 1 cup almond or coconut milk
  • 1 tsp. turmeric paste
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tbsp. coconut oil
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg or cardamom
  • Pinch of black pepper

-Whenever you want to have a cup of golden milk, just mix all the ingredients in a small saucepan and let it simmer for five minutes or until you get a smooth, golden yellow consistency. Don’t let it boil.
